Friendly wine and beer bar in the centre of the Carquefood Dining Hall.
In the center of the Carquefood Dining Hall, sits the Forty Eight bar. This wine and beer bar is the project of Elliott and Caroline, a couple in town. Together, they bring this friendly place to life with a fine selection of beers and wines. Among the lagers: La Chouffe, La Cuvée des Trolls, the dark beers: Hercule Stout, Straffe Hendrik, the amber beers, or the fruity beers: Lindemans, Delirium red... and also the local beers: Nautile, Coreff, Bières du Bouffay, Nao. For wine, Elliott and Caroline work with the wine merchant in Carquefou to offer French wines including the inevitable Saint-Emilion, Quincy, Côtes-de-Bourg, but also international wines, such as the organic red wine Nero d'Avola Sicilia, Malbec from Argentina, Shiraz Cabernet from Australia... Among the wines of local producers, the Domaine des Génaudières is well placed. And there is also a wide choice of softs and hot drinks. For the anecdote, the 48 is a reference to the model of motorcycle of a famous brand which is the second passion of Elliott.
