FOIE GRAS DE LA BOUVRIE- JOSEPH DE LA BOUVRIE
Located halfway between Nort-sur-Erdre and Sucé-sur-Erdre, in a place called L'Hébergement in Casson, is Maison Joseph de la Bouvrie. This family-run business offers an attractive range of duck products. To discover them, all you have to do is visit the boutique adjoining the production laboratory. There, you'll find whole duck foie gras, half-cooked in vacuum-packed ballotins. The liver is simply denervé, salted and peppered. Duck terrines with foie gras and rillettes are also on sale on site. You'll also find ready-made dishes: duck sauerkraut with muscadet, duck cassoulet, duck with orange and green pepper, duck with wine or porcini mushrooms. Of course, this is the place to go for confits (in jars), but also for magrets (smoked, sliced or whole). You can order fresh whole duck foie gras, deveined, salted and peppered, duck legs, magrets, aiguillettes or even whole ducks (by reservation). In the store, you'll also find products from local producers: honey, wines, jams, gingerbread or fruit juices... Every last weekend in October, don't miss the open house with entertainment and lunch on site. The Bouvrie family is also present at the Pornic market on Saturday mornings in July and August. A warm family welcome awaits you. Last but not least, the company is a member of BIOM, which promotes transparency, employment and solidarity for the benefit of the local economy.
