To sleep in the heart of a piece of art in the middle of nowhere, that's what you are trying to do? La Villa-Cheminée meets these criteria. But a board, to spend one night, book long in advance. The concept séduit many, many curious. La Villa-Cheminée was realized in the framework of the Biennale of Contemporary Art. Signed by Japanese artist Tatzu Nishi, this is a replica of a tower of the nearby thermal plant, also in Cordemais. Red and white, it is 15 m high and offers a 360-degree vantage point on the Loire and its beds. At its summit, a small furnished and functional pavilion of about 16 m ² (with a double bed, kitchen, bathroom with shower, toilet…) surrounded by a garden awaits you for an unusual stay.

Nous avons découvert cette petite maison perchée au hasard d’une ballade sur les bords de Loire à Cordemais. Après avoir longé le site EDF de la centrale thermique on arrive à un cul de sac au pied d’une cheminée rouge et blanche surplombée d’une maisonnette. C’est original et cela fait partie des nombreuses œuvres d’une exposition permanente sur la Loire de Nantes à Saint Nazaire. Possibilité de louer et même d’accéder au balcon le dimanche. Malheureusement fermée ce jour… La vue doit être sublime en direction de l’océan et plus particulièrement du pont de Saint Nazaire. Nous avons continué la rando « le circuit du patrimoine » pour apprécier la richesse écologique en longeant une superbe étendue d’eau. ( aigrettes ,hérons et même un couple de cigognes ). Très belle journée.
