THE REFINERY
Refinery with a production capacity of 11 million tonnes and modern facilities, home to a historic menhir
The second largest refinery in France, after the Normandy refinery, has a production capacity of over 11 million tons. To the pre-war oil installations have been added the laboratory and more recent production units. The frescoes by Robert Lesbounit, a renowned artist, represent the legend of the knight Antar. The Nantes-Le Croisic line crosses the site and several trains pass through the heart of the refinery every day. Another particularity, a menhir classified as a historical monument, known as the Vacherie, is located on the site.
