MARCHÉ DE BASSE-INDRE
Every Sunday morning, nearly 5,000 people from all over Nantes come to join this market on the banks of the Loire and its 150 or so traders. An organic, somewhat eco-friendly market, the Basse-Indre market is renowned for its natural products, particularly fish and shellfish, but also cheeses, cakes, meats, fruit and vegetables, bread and wine, its caterers not forgetting bazaar and decorative items, flowers and plants. It is good to stroll through the stalls of this surprising range of colours and flavours, with a great place for exoticism from the four corners of the world. A must see!
