The aeronautical museum on the Côte d'Amour Peninsula was created in 1980. The aeronautics is a long tradition in La Baule. From 1917 its aircraft are transporting the postal mail from Paris Le Bourget to La Baule, for the American army based in Croisic. Aéropostale gave rise to a passion: to ensure the preservation of French Heritage and a few jewels such as the Blériot XI, an identical device for Louis Blériot to cross the Channel in 1909. A passion shared by the entire aviation museum team that takes care of the aircraft, repairs them, steals them and tells you their story. The Aeronautics Museum on the Côte d'Amour Peninsula (MAPICA) is, to date, recognized worldwide for its work in the restoration and preservation of the aeronautical heritage. He received several awards: the Phoenix Honorary Diploma of the International Aeronautics Federation and the Grand Prix of the French Aero Cup Club.
