The port of Gravette, located on the coast of La Plaine-sur-Mer, is appreciated for its double vocation. First of all, it is a fishing port that hosts approximately 35 vessels (trawl fishing, planters, oyster planters…). It also practises fishing for the glass eel in winter and aux (grey shrimp) in summer. Pleasure, sailing and motor also occupy a beautiful place. In total, after the revision of the mooring plan carried out during the dredging of the port, the port has 320 locations allowing recreational craft to be received by year up to 12 metres. The harbour offers a magnificent spectacle. All around, the coast is marked by these famous fisheries with carrelets and villas. There is also an activity of oyster farming and culture. 1 000 tons of mussels, also called bouchots, are harvested per year.
