LA ROUTE DU CACAO
This artisanal chocolate factory - tea room, run by Damien Pineau and his wife, is associated with a title of record holder of the largest artisanal chocolate bar in France in 2014! It should be noted that the name of the brand is in memory of the boat Belém, which carried cocoa beans for the Brazilian chocolate maker Meunier from Brazil to Nantes and very close to the Croisic. Strolling along the quays of the Petite Cité de Caractère du Croisic, if you are taken by a furious desire for chocolate, tea or coffee at lunchtime, this is the place to stop. Chocolate, homemade, like pastries, is in the spotlight, with the specialities at the top: Truffle des Marais, Rochers du Croisic or Vagues de l'Océan. On the pastry side, succumb to Armoricain, a double disc of meringue and light cream with praline and hazelnut almonds, or even for homemade macaroons. On the biscuit side, the pure butter wafers and Diamonds are a delight. Other delicacies, Keramel, caramel syrup with Guérande salt, is to be enjoyed.
