This charming, picturesque little port in Les Moutiers-en-Retz is a major salt supply point for many boats.
Located only a few kilometres from the centre of Les Moutiers-en-Retz, this picturesque little port really does not lack charm and is certainly worth a visit. You can reach it by car by a road or, for the most courageous, by a long and very pleasant walk by the sea. The port of Le Collet was once one of the most important in the Atlantic, and could accommodate up to 250 boats. Many boats came here to buy salt. Today, there are many fisheries along the bay. Note that you can admire the island of Noirmoutier in the distance.
