A quarter of an hour from Nantes, the brasserie at Abbaye de Villeneuve offers inventive bistro cuisine. Sweetbread vol-au-vent with green asparagus, honey-lacquered Vendée pork belly, trout confit and grenaille potatoes from Noirmoutier. As for desserts, we're crazy about the grapefruit macaron, rhubarb and thyme-infused juice. Fine cuisine by Aymeric Depogny, also in charge of the gastronomic restaurant next door. A fine list of local wines.
