AIRBUS
This aeronautical production site in Montoir-de-Bretagne is among the three largest in the world and the second largest in France.
Saint-Nazaire is not only the fief of ships! The aircraft industry has been there since the 1920 s, while shipbuilding was in crisis. The workshops were hydravions. Since 1970, Airbus aircraft have been built on the site of Airbus Saint-Nazaire, located in Gron in the municipality of Montoir-de-Bretagne. That year, France and Germany pool their skills to compete with Boeing. One year later, Spain joined them, and then it will be the turn of the United Kingdom in 1979. The site specialises in the assembly, equipment and testing of the Airbus front and Central Rounded, including those of the A 380, the largest civil aircraft. Visitors arrive by coach at the Gron factory, where they will walk through two sets of workshops. Survision spaces, specially designed for these visits, offer spectacular views of the various Airbus models and now the A 380. It is Airbus Saint-Nazaire that delivers the 2/3 of the A 380 rounded. Note that this aeronautical production site is among the three most important in the world - the second site in France after Toulouse.

Le petit bonus : le parcours en bus pour accéder à l'usine passe par les chantiers navals !!
