HÉLÈNE MORBU CÉRAMISTE – L'ATELIER DE LA RÉPUBLIQUE
Go there and contact
Between geometry and finesse lies the work of Hélène Morbu, whose principles are based on a mastery of the matter, a quest for balance and correctness and an art of the line. Random coincidence, a piece of thought, a ceramic mania with empowered and subtle sandstone, able to shape and palpable poetry in common use, thanks to the creation of unique or small-series utilitarian pieces such as small and large cups, bowls, pots, vases, glasses, lamps, cuts and teapots. From a simple geometric form, it develops a piece that it rotates, assembles and rotates again to escape a colourful whirlwind of life. Pastels in its first collections, stronger today, as evidenced by the sublime cobalt blue of certain objects, colours give flesh to the lines and nuances that it evolves with new practices like that of enamelling. The graphics play of the coin can also continue if there is a set like the tea service: by an assembly game, reinvent it in the original form.
