Nantes is a city of water. Not far from the city center, where its course has been covered, the Erdre meanders between its tree-lined banks, lined with parks and castles. Boats can be rented for an hour or more, up to a day. In summer, thanks to the late opening hours, you can extend your trip with an aperitif on the water. The boats can also be booked for groups, especially for a pleasant after-work get-together. Remember to book via the website, even if you can try your luck without warning. Canoes and kayaks are also available. There are three other bases in Sucé-sur-Erdre, Vertou and Nort-sur-Erdre.
