Warm and friendly restaurant near the Tour de Bretagne featuring Afghan gastronomy
A few steps from the Tour de Bretagne, you will find this discreet restaurant that honours Afghan cuisine. On the front of L'Ariana, we read that since 1990 Afghan gastronomy has been represented in Nantes. And very well represented thanks to Selma in the kitchen and Hamid in the dining room who welcome you with warmth and friendliness. On the plate side: delicate spices and Afghan flavours delight the taste buds! In this multi-influenced cuisine, you can enjoy Borani (slices of steamed eggplant and Afghan sauce), Sambossa (ground beef fritter with raw vegetables) or Machawa (royal veal, ginger and vegetable soup) as an appetizer. Then the dishes with Sadafy (scallops with Afghan spices and saffron rice), or Mantua (ravioli of ground beef with two peppers, coriander) or the vegetarian plate (spinach with soya beans, feta, eggplant slices, rice), and for the most gourmands: the Tasting plate will allow you to discover the Khelal Palaw, Zaamarrode Palaw and Mantuas. And we end on a sweet and perfumed note with Ferni (cardamom cream, sesame seeds and pistachio chips) or Awassy (delightful with almond powder, carrots and candied orange peels). All this with a glass of wine, an Afghan tea (cardamom) or a salted Dôr (yoghurt, dill, mint and cucumber). Flavours and pleasure guaranteed!
