Food truck offering typical Egyptian dishes, pasta, 100% vegetarian, vegan and Egyptian cuisine
Bilo and Dilo, that's Amir's food truck. Of Egyptian origin, and a neighbour, a child of a certain Cloclo, he makes you discover typical dishes around the famous Egyptian koshari. Authentic and generous, it is a speciality composed of rice, lentils, pasta, chickpeas and onions fried in a spicy tomato sauce. You can choose the size of the dish (small, medium or large), accompany it with a salad of finely cut multicoloured raw vegetables, a dessert such as the famous mhalabia, almond milk white food with mango coulis, or the khoshaf, with marinated dried fruit, and a drink made from hibiscus flowers called karkadé which can be drunk hot or cold depending on the season. Bilo and Dilo offers 100% vegetarian and vegan cuisine. The smiling Amir insists on this precision: vegetarian cuisine has always existed in Egypt, it is even historical: "the wheat of the pharaohs", a cereal among others, was found in the pyramids, near the sarcophagi, a cereal blessed by the gods themselves! It was already enjoyed in the time of the Kosharis! The Egyptian cuisine is not a simple fashion, but a true art of living that Amir makes us discover and share. Bilo and Dilo literally means "to fill and serve". Fill, because the dishes are as tasty as they are copious. And serve ecologically: the truck runs on electric power and the containers are biodegradable. So Amir serves our planet in addition to his good food. A healthy and balanced cuisine to enjoy at the Toutencamion while waiting to visit, one day, a pyramid!
