With their good humour and enthusiastic smile, Estelle and Benjamin welcome you to their organic-oriented canteen, which will be inaugurated in spring 2019. Located between Place Viarme and Place de Bretagne, you will certainly notice it with its white façade and its La Tricyclerie crest. This luminous place is very popular around noon, and for good reason! This coffee-shop-like place has become the gourmet haunt of all the workers in the area. In the morning they can enjoy their breakfast and in the afternoon they can come for lunch, but also take a takeaway order (with compostable and biodegradable containers). The regulars are delighted to have found their new eco-responsible canteen offering a colourful home-made cuisine based on fresh, local products. This welcoming couple is not for the first time since they have run the Comptoir in Carquefou for 5 years. The desire to change and create a project inspired by their travels, particularly in Montreal, led to the creation of this lovely café-kitchen whose layout was carefully designed to maximize space. One room next to the counter with high chairs and a standing lunch and another on the other side of the two glass doors with comfortable benches and a large mirror. And in the spirit of "help yourself", customers are invited to equip themselves with glass/water/cutlery in a dedicated corner that also serves to clear their table at the end of the meal. Of course, in this vitamin-rich place, traditional dishes are out and originality lives on: oatmeal or banana bread with a banana/peanut butter smoothie for breakfast, vegetarian salad or carrot/roquefort/seed tart or bagel pastrami/onion confits/curé nantais or soup for lunch, not forgetting carrot cake or cheese cake for dessert, accompanied by an organic drink such as a kombucha, a kind of fermented tea or a flavored beer. A real treat!
