CITRUS CAFÉ
Seasonal cuisine in a superb restaurant and coffee shop near "Pirmil" in the Saint-Jacques district.
It is in the south of Nantes, near "Pirmil" in the Saint-Jacques district that Laurène and Camille, two friends, had the good idea to open a café and restaurant in their image: the Citrus café. And in terms of citrus fruits and vitamins, we can say that there is no lack of "pep" here. Every day, the neighbourhood's gourmets and gourmands can have lunch on the spot or take away, choosing from a slate of dishes with a short menu featuring fresh, local produce. Seasonal products and the work of local farmers proudly displayed on the slate. To us the small or large high quality lunch sandwich with sourdough baquette "with lacquered roast pork, ginger and lime mayonnaise, red onion pickles, cucumber, carrots, coriander and peanut". Or the large salad with the superb bowl or the unmissable tart of the day (e.g. ricotta, lemon, mint, marinated courgettes, cherry tomatoes and grilled peppers) and your choice of a hot dish of the day. The Citrus café is also a coffee-shop with hot or cold drinks during the day, but also the desserts of the day to be savoured in the afternoon in the tea room (the lemon cake with all its delicacy and generosity, or the gluten-free carrot cake among others!). A gourmet stopover that is welcome in this "southern" district. The decoration is pretty, and we validate the benches that contribute to the cosy atmosphere of the place.
