The Debotté family is known in Nantes for its artisanal chocolates and other fine pastries, Nantes berlingots and confectionery specialities. In the Debotté family, I ask the father, "Gilbert the ancestor" from the top of his 70 springs or a little more... And Mr. Debotté Sr. has lost none of his enthusiasm and entrepreneurial creativity. In love with real, good artisan bread, Gilbert has always dreamed of having his own bakery. For this, it was necessary to have a nice meeting, made with Thierry Colliou, a former passionate miller who became the baker of Le Debotté, the brand new shop opposite Beaulieu. It is right in front of the busway stop "Ile de Nantes" line 4 that you will discover this luminous and single-storey shop already frequented by the numerous (but not only) young people who are delighted to come and taste on the spot or to take away a nice range of home-made sandwiches made with the right fresh bread, pastries and viennoiseries (pistachio, raspberry chocolate bread, kouign amann, gourmet verrines). In short, everything is done on site for the happiness of early risers, late risers or for quality lunches and snacks with good homemade products. And of course, bread with the Le Debotté baguette (baguette with traditional flour and a little spelt) with a thin crust with a light hazelnut taste, special breads (14 cereals, Karacter campagne sur Meule...), formulas and dishes of the day, we can't mention everything: you have to go there and it's open all the time!
