L'INDUSTRIE
Address offering a beef, chicken, fish or vegetarian menu, a burger and classic dishes
Tucked away between boulevard Launay and rue Lamoricière, on the Place René-Bouhier, is the attractive Café de l'Industrie. Seductive first and foremost for its decor, which pays homage to the great poster designers of the 1930s such as Cassandre or Loupot, whose images we all have in mind: Dubonnet or Saint-Raphaël... Seductive thanks to the warm welcome and atmosphere, both professional and relaxed. Seductive, finally, thanks to a menu and simple, well-crafted bistro cuisine. The menu is organized into "variations": Classic dishes, Burgers and Pad Thaï, always with vegetarian options. You'll also find the great "bistrot" classics: croque Monsieur or Madamoiselle, pièce du boucher or tartare... Everything is homemade, including the ketchup. On this particular day, the menu featured a fillet of pollack mashed with potatoes and citrus butter, and a chocolate moelleux with Earl Grey crème anglaise for dessert. The slices were generous and delicious. L'Industrie also offers a menu of snacks to go with the many cocktails made before your very eyes. Concerts, exhibitions and other happenings regularly enliven the walls of this exceptional venue. A real "coup de cœur" to try out without delay!
