MATA HARI
Restaurant decorated with a smiling welcome and a menu based on chic bistro-inspired cuisine
For a long time occupied by Le Reflex, since the summer of 2017 we find at the corner of rue Jean-Jaurès and rue Porte-Neuve a new restaurant: Mata Hari. If the beautiful spy haunts the place, it is first and foremost related to the decoration chosen by the team. Here, we have opted for a 1920s environment where references to Art Deco are legion, like the highly stylised wallpapers or the exotic-accented suspensions. Nothing to say, it's successful and very attractive. You will also notice the welcome which is the strong point of the place: here, you smile and enjoy yourself. The manager is Tatiana, accompanied by a friendly team. The plate, finally, what do we find there? At lunchtime, a nice choice, between the slate and the menu, which gives pride of place to a chic bistro-inspired cuisine. You can start with a low-temperature cooked egg and its vegetable compote, continue with a grilled pluma and its plum sauce and finish gently with a lime mousse, creamy lemon and coconut dacquoise. More simply, on the day's slate you will find for example acras de julienne, a sausage rougaille and a financier. It's good, hearty and the place is a big hit in the neighbourhood. In the evening, Mata Hari offers a slate of tapas, gravlax and other small restorations to share between friends or lovers.
