Restaurant offering a high quality selection in Nantes.
Facing the River Erdre, l'Océanide's plush décor recalls the ambiance of the great bourgeois brasseries of yesteryear. Here, fish and shellfish are cooked with talent and inventiveness by chef David Garrec. On the à la carte menu, start with roasted langoustine tails with Paimpol cocos. Follow this up with sea bass pavé with chanterelle mushrooms and shellfish jus, or hake filet roasted in thyme butter. Unless you'd prefer to opt for the splendid seafood platter, which can be ordered 24 hours in advance and is one of the restaurant's must-haves. As for desserts, you'll love the choc-praliné with sorbet and the Océanide lemon tart.
