A massive oak tollbooth, a work of art by the Rotterdam collective, it is also a place hosting an exceptional biodiversity.
Amazing this massive oak tollbooth, a work of art by the Rotterdam collective, which has created a gateway to the Little Amazon. Bombed in 1944, abandoned, then chosen to create an urban penetration that was finally abandoned, this place is home to an exceptional biodiversity that earned it its name and its Natura 2000 classification. The collective therefore wanted to enhance this history, this place, and at the same time allow the inhabitants of the district to appropriate the work and the site. And it works: the childminders meet there, the employees come to share a picnic, the curious buzz around. Little by little, we appreciate the curves of the wooden highway sections, the smell of the structure, the discovery of this unusual place.
