This museum is currently the only one in France to possess uniforms from all eras

Located within the walls of the oldest fire station of the Nantes fire brigade (more than 100 years old), the Musée des Sapeurs-Pompiers occupies the historic site of the former community of the Fathers of Saint-Clément. Transformed many times in history, this place of memory opens its doors to us to discover the history of the museum and its collection of approximately 8,000 pieces. Remarkable fact and which will speak to enthusiasts: it is currently the only French museum to possess elements of uniforms from all periods, from the Ancien Régime to the present day. All audiences are invited to browse the rooms in which the archives and equipment that, over time, has served the technical and human know-how of these fire soldiers are displayed. We also offer guided tours to exchange and perfect your curiosity.
