THE GARDEN OF THE FIVE SENSES
Garden featuring a collection of Nantes' best-known terracotta tiles with leaf and fruit reliefs.
In this 5 677 m ² garden, each element is thought to be a theme for a walk to awaken the five senses. The water of the fountain discharges onto movable elements that make it possible to hear different sounds according to the flow of water. A solar dial gives the hour warm, electric water. A special design in the garden presents a collection of terracotta tiles with the best-known leaf and fruit reliefs with their respective names in Braille. Odorat is the feast thanks to material accumulating heat to promote the diffusion of the volatile essences of plants and flowers. For taste, plantations of small fruit shrubs also illustrate the theme of this garden. It is regrettable that sometimes damage prevent visitors from taking full advantage of them.
