Nantes counts among its inhabitants a good number of comic strip authors and illustrators who work alone or within collectives and workshops. All these people were missing a place to share, promote and exhibit their art. It is now done with the Maison Fumetti, an association and a place in Nantes dedicated to comics and graphic arts. The idea is both to highlight local, national and international artists through exhibitions, workshops, courses but also through a festival, the Fumetti festival, which takes place in early July. The Maison Fumetti is also an opportunity to federate the regional scene, to support creation through residencies, to make equipment available and to offer various forms of assistance (legal, publication, etc.). The Maison Fumetti is co-presided by Julien Dinam and Sébastien Vassant. Whether you are a reader, a simple amateur, a curious person or an artist, this is a place to discover. Note that the Maison Fumetti organizes many workshops for children, teenagers and adults.
