Vincent Bécam, sommelier-advisor, created Cave Jules Verne in 1998. Since then, he and his team have strived to offer a range of wines (over 600 references) from in-depth collaborations with winemakers committed to preserving the environment. The company's specialities: Val de Loire (domaine Pierre Luneau, domaine Philippe Marchais, domaine Pierre Guindon for Muscadet, domaine Gilles Musset, domaine Patrick Baudouin), Languedoc (domaine Isabelle Champart in Saint-Chinian, domaine Michel Louison in Faugères, Mas Daumas Gassac in Aniane, domaine de Cabrol-en-Cabardès....), Roussillon (domaine de La Rectorie in Banyuls, domaine Sarda-Malet in Perpignan, and the very fine white from Éric Laguerre...), and Southwestern wines (château du Cèdre in Cahors, domaine Luc de Conti in Bergerac, château Montus et Bouscassé in Madiran, domaine Cauhapé in Jurançon...). Vincent Bécam and his team regularly organize meetings with winemakers, wine-tasting evenings and meals, of course, but sometimes also whisky tastings, of which there are a few good bottles in the cellar.
