MARCHÉS
Pornic's downtown market takes place on Thursdays and Sundays, all year round, and stretches from Place des Halles to Place du Marchix. At the heart of the market, you will find the halls, built in 1609 by the Duke of Gondi and rebuilt in 1751. Owned by the City of Pornic since 1825, they were renovated in 2000. On Wednesday and Saturday mornings, a market takes place at the car park in La Birochère and another one in Sainte-Marie, Place de la Libération. In July and August, a local market takes place on Saturday mornings at the Fontaine aux Bretons site.
