Dr. Guépin, a famous 19th century doctor and scientist from Nantes, was one of the doctors who praised the healing properties of the chlorinated and ferruginous water from the Prefailles spring, which was favourable to anaemics, chlorotics, fevers, pregnant women and other infections.
