THE RADIANT HOUSE
House built by architect Le Corbusier between 1953 and 1955 in response to the post-war housing crisis in Rezé
Imposing, in concrete, with red, yellow, green and blue loggias and a large fireplace, this "house" was built by Le Corbusier between 1953 and 1955 in response to the post-war housing crisis. It has the air of an ocean liner, measuring 108 m long, 52 m high and 19 m wide. From its roof terrace, there's an unobstructed view of the city, from the Cheviré bridge to the Tour de Bretagne. There are only five such buildings in the world! Built in the heart of a 6-hectare park, the building is open to visitors by reservation only.
