THE CIRCUIT OF THE GREAT PATH
Discover the hillsides, the hamlet of La Brounière, the small wooden bridges and the Blanche river
A word about the village of Rouans to begin with, known for having served as the setting for the cult film Le Grand Chemin, directed by Jean-Loup Hubert and released in 1987. It is therefore in this village that begins a very beautiful and pleasant stroll through the hinterland of the Retz country. Following the country roads, you will discover the hills, the hamlet of La Brounière, the small wooden bridges and the Blanche river. Then Buzon, an old port that evokes the memory of the monks of Buzay; finally Saint-Martin-de-Vertou and the Bec mill. You can observe several mills in Rouans, including the one in Les Vignes (1881), the one in Buzay, the one in Bec, the one in Buzon, the one in La Masse and the one in Les Landes.
