THE BREAD OVEN OF THE METAIRIE
Go there and contact
This bread oven dates from the Middle Ages. It was once heated with vine branches and provided the bread of the whole village. The last community furnace in Saint-Fiacre, he was neglected for many years. The 1990 s mark the beginning of its renovation. It is owed to several volunteer associations. For anecdocte, he served as a framework for the marriage of Victor Hugo's grandfather, Jean-François Trébuchet, in the church of this charming village on the road to The Hague-Fouassière. You can find it on the road to the bread oven (it does not invent!).
