VIGNOBLES GÜNTHER-CHÉREAU
The work of Véronique Günther-Chéreau and her daughter Aurore respects nature, and their integrated approach to viticulture tends towards an organic approach to their soils and vines, some of which are hundreds of years old. Situated at the confluence of the Sèvre and Maine rivers, the hillside terroirs bring finesse and minerality to their Muscadet. Château du Coing develops sustainable viticulture on its 75 hectares of vines, home to the Burgundy melon. It's the diversity of their terroirs, their passion and their know-how that enable them to produce a wide range of quality muscadets that surprise with their ageing potential and fruity, floral flavours. Among the wide range of quality muscadets, the 4 crus communaux Chateau-Thébaud, La Haye-Fouassière, Gorges and Monnières Saint-Fiacre, are terroir muscadets with several years' ageing on lees, the Perles fines : traditional method with delicate aromas, Audace du Coing harvested when overripe with ripe fruit aromas, muscadet aged in new oak barrels with buttery, fruity aromas. A wine to savor! It's worth noting that this dynamic duo is one of the few female vineyard managers in the Nantes region. It's the ideal place for a visit followed by a tasting, or even a reception in a prestigious setting. Come and enjoy the winegrowers' aperitifs in fine weather!
