CHURCH OF SAINT-LYPHARD
From the bell tower of this church, it is possible to enjoy an exceptional panorama
The concrete bell tower built in 1938 requires many repairs and the application of a painting to protect and standardize concrete. Several solutions are then possible and the chosen one will be the application of a color painting (many were originally painted churches). The municipality concerned with the conservation of its local heritage decided the full restoration of its church and the preservation of the aesthetic and historical values of the monument. From the Steeple of Saint-Lyphard, it is possible to enjoy an exceptional panorama. It is at the foot of the 135 staircase stone steps that the journey begins. The first time of the visit allows access to the vaults and an exhibition on the marsh and the church. You can reach the six millers stairs in a second time. So we are lining the three beautiful bells: Céline, Marcelline and Jeanne-Marie. It is here at the top of the bell that you admire the entire Brière marsh, passing from Saint Nazaire Bridge to the college of Guérande. During this visit, the 5-12 age group will have to conduct the investigation. A key, their young detective card and a surprise surprise… Please note that visits are discouraged for children under the age of 5. Animals are not allowed. In case of poor weather conditions, group bookings, religious ceremonies or other events, some visits may be delayed or cancelled.
