THE AUDITORY
Dating from the XVIII century, the audience is now a communal building for weddings, receptions, meetings and exhibitions. Its renovation was carried out in 1995. The main part was built in 1755 by the Neufville-Villeroi family, which governs the duchy of Retz. In this audience, the seigneurial justice is exercised. He became Republican court from the revolution. The town hall gradually settled there during the XIX century, even though it still performs judicial functions. The symbol of this audience, visible on the cartridge on the front of the building entrance, dates back to 1838, the year of construction of the two wings added to the main body of the Audience.
