This building is astonishing by its architecture and reflects the sedentary nature of the first farmers in the region

One of the most beautiful Neolithic monuments in France, demonstrating the genius of the Neolithic men who built this funerary monument over 6,000 years ago. Made of earth and stones, it measures 28 m in diameter and 3 m high and contains two megalithic tombs, each composed of a chamber preceded by a narrow and long access corridor. One of them displays a cover slab decorated with engraved symbols. The architecture of this building is astonishing and reflects the sedentarisation of the first farmers in the region and the evolution of their way of life.

Opening time and information on THE MOUND OF DISSIGNAC

Guided tours from mid-July to the end of August. Open Tuesday to Friday and Sunday from 10:30 to 13:00 and 14:30 to 19:00. A visit every half hour. Duration: 45 minutes. Last visit: 12pm in the morning and 6pm in the evening. Free for children under 4 years old. Adults: 6 €. Children (from 4 to 14 years old): 3 €.

Visite guidée très intéressante avec un guide (Enzo) très pertinent. A su passionner les adultes et les enfants (nous étions accompagnés de deux ados de 12 ans). A recommander.
