Ecomuseum recounting the history of the town, its port and major industries
The Ecomusée is located on the banks of the Loire estuary. It tells the story of the town, its port and its major industries. The exhibition takes you from the creation of the port and the city in the 19th century to the reconstruction of the city in the 1950s. You'll discover documents and collectors' items, including large-scale models, paintings, posters, photographs and technical objects (lighthouse optics, foghorns, shipbuilding tools). All illustrate facets of Nazaire's history.
