GUINDREFF'S PONDS
A few hundred metres from Bois Joalland pond, the Bassins and Belle-Hautière basins extend this green belt. By taking the route of Saint-André-des-Eaux, you will find this site of several ponds communicating with each other. These were dug by the US army in 1917, because the city starved of water, could not cope with the influx of troops landed and their needs in this area. This is one of the appointments of walkers and joggers. The path, following the thread of these pieces of water, joins by hiking the banks of the pond of Bois Joalland. Beautiful trails allow easy walks. A beautiful walk in perspective!
