In this house, General Vendéen Charles de Bonchamps died of his war wounds at the age of 33, on 18 October 1793, after pardoned 5000 republican prisoners held in Saint-Florent-le-Vieux. At present, the Maison House is an art exhibition room like painting, sculpture… These two rooms are open every year for 6 months, from 1 May to 31 October, for painting, sculpture and photography exhibitions.
