MONTE CRISTO

With its idyllic location on the waterfront, its view of the Nantes Sèvre and its lush nature, we are delighted to rediscover the totally revamped Monte Cristo! What a pleasure to have lunch, dinner but also in the afternoon to sip a cold or hot drink in a beautiful setting on the Chaussée des Moines. In this continuously open establishment, you can choose among several rooms with a cosy and industrial atmosphere. You can choose to sit on the beautiful perched terrace with a breathtaking view of the Vertou lock, or in the more cosy rooms or even near the windows of the artist's glass roof in the luminous neo-industrial-looking verandah. As for the map, it reminds us that "A Monte Cristo è Tutto bellissimo"! Italy has pride of place on the plates: with the different pizzas: red pizzas such as the Vesuvianna (tomato sauce, spicy spianata, stacciatella) or the Vegetarian (tomato sauce, mozzarella, artichokes, grilled peppers and courgettes, cherry tomatoes).. or the white pizzas: like the 4 Formaggi (gorgonzola, mozzarella, scamorza affumicato, taleggio), the Tartuffata (mozzarella, parmigiano, truffle ham and truffle petals). We also enjoy pasta: spaghetti carbonara, the real thing! (guanciale, organic egg, parmesan and pecorino), Ravioles speck and fontina, truffle cream... and risotto : Risotto from the sea (risotto, dry, clams, gambas, knives and cherry tomatoes), Soft wheat risotto with buckwheat and truffle.... But also fish: Cod back with bacon Colonnata Fregola Sarda with cream. And meats: veal escalope with Milanese linguine in tomato sauce, lamb mouse with rosemary, potato gnocchi. We finish with a gourmet note, whether it is the dolci with traditional tiramisu or the pana cotta with Marsala liqueur and Amarena cherries or gelati such as the Amarena cup with vanilla ice cream, Amarena cream, Amarena cherries in syrup, whipped cream. A real piece of Italy to be savoured in an enchanting setting!
