THE CASTLE OF THE FREMOIRE
This monument dates back to 1725. Partially destroyed during the wars of Vendée, it was rebuilt around 1860 by the architect Bourgerel. The building overlooks the Sèvre Nantaise Valley and Vertou racecourse. Located near Portillon, this beautiful architectural ensemble has preserved its eighteenth century chapel and its English-style park which offers a remarkable panorama of the vineyards and church of Saint-Fiacre. In 1989, he became the property of the Nantes AOC and Gros Plant. It is currently home to the wine growing pole of Nantes wines. Summer weekends, a muscadet bar and restaurant are open!
