FÉDÉRATION DES VINS DE NANTES
Nestling in the Vertou countryside, overlooking the Sèvre River, Château de la Frémoire is a Nantes folly that has belonged to the 400 winegrowers of Nantes since 1989. Open to the public since 2017, this beautiful building surrounded by a four-hectare park houses the headquarters of the Nantes wine federation. Mission: to protect and promote the AOC wines of Nantes (Muscadet, Gros-Plant du pays nantais, Coteaux d'Ancenis) under the leadership of new president Christophe Vilain. After a year's work, on Tuesday July 16, the château will reopen its doors to welcome the public with a large wine bar and a restaurant area, all in a relaxing atmosphere. On the menu: refined cuisine by chef Joanna Page. Delicate dishes based on Nantes wines and wine and sea pairings. The decor has been carefully thought out. It was designed by Nantes-based The architects, who reorganized and staged the building's first floor. For the past seven years, the site, with its Lobster at Frémoire, has been a stopover for the Voyage à Nantes. The concept, which already invited visitors to enjoy Muscadet AOC and seafood in the château grounds, has now been extended. Find out more.
