Restaurant offering authentic Vietnamese cuisine with very good value for money in Angers.
With its white panelling walls only decorated with a few paintings, Saigon does not play the card of a forced or flashy exoticism. Good, because above all, people come here to enjoy simple, authentic Vietnamese cuisine that is brilliant in the freshness of its products. The address has proved its worth and the mistress of the stoves has a lot to do at lunchtime because of the crowds! Although it is a classic among the classics, nems are particularly recommended here, served in generous portions, deliciously crispy and accompanied by beautiful crisp lettuce leaves. Simple but effective! Bo bun also occupies a prominent place on the menu: a cold salad, made of rice vermicelli, sautéed beef and raw vegetables, available in three sizes to suit your appetite. Lovers of real traditional cuisine will also not miss Vietnam's national dish, pho, a delicately flavoured beef broth topped with rice pasta. The rest of the menu is classic but always well done: pineapple chicken, steamed appetizers, curry beef... Weakness: the waiting time for some lunches can be quite long. Talents: hospitality and a very good price/quality ratio.
