Authentic cuisine based on seasonal products in a superb restaurant with a friendly atmosphere in Angers.
The Salamander, an iconic Angevin restaurant, is no longer. The management of Anjou's hotel redesigned it and replaced the Bistrot 1515 with two simple formulas revealing good original dishes for tighter budgets than before. On its own, the decoration deserves your visit, as you will have the pleasure of restoring yourself in a magnificent, neo-Gothic style room, in a refined and convivial atmosphere. Fusion cuisine is found in the subtle flavors of different countries to present new dishes that are delicious, original and very nicely presented, respecting seasonality. Over the weeks, one cracks for a crunchy crab and guacamole, or is tempted by a carpaccio of Saint-Jacques nuts, fresh and basing. We continue with a cute filet that is perfectly executed, at just cooking and with a expected tenderness. It is served with small seasonal vegetables and pepper sauce. Still comes a delicious salmon tartare to conclude with an English based chocolate based chocolate, simple, excellent, effective. Weakness: closed at noon during the summer. Talent: the quality and presentation of the dishes in a splendid room.
