GRAND THÉATRE D'ANGERS
The large theater, inaugurated in 1871, is worth a visit both the large and richly decorated room, including a fresco at the ceiling of the Angevin artist Lenepveu. Throughout the year, it offers performances for all tastes, not as elitist as one might imagine. In addition to theater performances, one-man shows, music, dance and opera, the venue is an essential part of local culture in terms of exhibitions and conferences, especially at the First Plans festival. Music, books, calligraphy, dance are themes that can be explored during exhibitions of paintings and photographs, which are admired in the large hall and adjacent gallery. From time to time, you can also see sculptures, tapestries and other plastic creations. And all this is free of charge! Please note that some quality performances are offered at very low prices, and it is a pity that communication is not better organized… Please inquire to grow, regardless of budget.
