ADAM'S HOUSE
This house is one of the symbols of the city of Angers, attracting visitors and curiosity seekers alike
The Maison d'Adam, a half-timbered house listed as a historic monument, overlooks the Place Sainte-Croix and its welcoming terraces. It's one of our country's oldest, and a fine reminder of a bygone era. Its sculpted beams are home to a plethora of more or less modest characters and legendary figures such as dragons. The restoration work, initially scheduled to take 18 months, could extend beyond this period. On the first floor, the Maison des Artisans - a store featuring dozens of artists and their medieval-inspired works - will remain open and accessible throughout the work.
