ST. MARTIN'S COLLEGE
A collegiate church built on Gallo-Roman remains, whose crypt reveals remains from the ancient and Merovingian periods.
The collegiate church of Saint-Martin is one of the city's oldest Gothic churches, and undoubtedly one of France's finest monuments to the Carolingian era. Closed to worship since the French Revolution, it is now a museum dedicated to its own history, and hosts numerous events throughout the year: temporary exhibitions, musical, dance and circus performances (Les Raisonnances Saint-Martin, every spring), and literary encounters (Les Entretiens littéraires de la Collégiale, over 2 weekends in February).
