A glass roof in place of the collapsed roof of an old church: an original idea to highlight the works of a sculptor from Angers, whose best-known works are far from his native town. You'll see preparatory drawings, statues, busts and medallions, for, as you may have guessed, this was David d'Angers' specialty. Usually the result of commissions, his sculptures, some of them monumental, can be found on the pediment of the Panthéon or in Père-Lachaise. In the former Toussaint abbey church, molds of his works are on display.
