The Musée des Beaux-Arts d'Angers, housed in the elegant Logis Barrault, is a must-see for art lovers. Its rich and varied collections span the centuries, from medieval works to contemporary creations. The museum is divided into two sections: one devoted to sculpture and painting (notably primitive and classical), the other to the history of Angers (objects from archaeological digs). It also includes a graphic arts cabinet and a garden that has replaced the orchard where the famous Comice Doyenné pear was invented.
