ARBORETUM PARK AND ITS FOUR GARDENS
Arboretum with a beautiful floral diversity and gardens with contrasting atmospheres, between rare species and precious essences.
An alley lined with oaks welcomes you to the Gaston Allard arboretum, created in the 19th century by an Angevin who was passionate about botany. Due to its slightly off-centre location, this garden is not necessarily the most popular in the city. However, with its four spaces with contrasting atmospheres: the gardens of trials, the five-way gardens, the shades, the biotopes, it deserves to be studied. There, rare species and precious essences harmoniously coexist on some 7 hectares. Very well maintained, the arboretum presents a beautiful floral diversity, changing according to the seasons. We can enjoy the works of the sculptor François Cacheux, wonderfully staged in their vegetal setting. A kind of oasis for walkers in search of calm and nature, a relaxing place that it would be a shame to deprive yourself of. However, it is regrettable that part of the park is closed to the public.

Je ne regrette rien de cette visite et j'y retournerais au printemps.
