Notre-Dame de Bellefontaine Abbey, located in Bégrolles-en-Mauges in the Maine-et-Loire département, is a Cistercian abbey founded in 1120 and home to a community of Trappist monks. The abbey is open to the public and offers guided tours of its history and architecture. In addition to tours, the abbey also has a bookshop where you can buy books and local products such as organic sourdough bread and cosmetics. For those wishing to extend their stay, the abbey also has a guesthouse. To support the abbey, you can make donations or participate in the restoration of the Chapelle de Bon Secours.
